Back in January, The Will Cain Show premiered on Fox News with a thunderous impact, drawing 3.5 million viewers and setting a new benchmark for daytime debuts on the network.
According to a Fox News press release at the time, the January 23 premiere was not only a win for Cain, but a historic high point for the network’s 4 PM lineup.
A Historic Launch for Cain at 4 PM
The debut more than doubled Fox News’ 2024 average for that time slot, soaring 106% in total viewers and surging 128% in the coveted 25-54 demographic, with over 451,000 viewers in that key group tuning in.
It also ranked among the top 10 most-watched shows on all of broadcast and cable television that day, beating out prime-time staples like ABC’s The Rookie and CBS’s FBI: International and outperforming every program on both CNN and MSNBC.
The 4 PM hour became Fox’s second highest-rated in that slot since 2021, commanding 68% of total cable news viewers and an eye-popping 73% of viewers aged 25–54.
Cain’s Mission: Truth, Curiosity, and Authenticity
Cain, a former co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend and longtime commentator, launched the solo show with a personal message about honesty, humility, and connection.
“It’s a ride,” he told viewers on day one. “I can only make you one promise and that is that I’m going to be real. I’m going to be authentic, and I’m going to seek the truth.”
“I don’t believe I sit behind a desk and speak from high on the mountain… Instead, I will go through that process, with you, curiously, honestly, of seeking the truth.”
Broadcasting from America’s heartland, Cain positioned the show as something more than just another political program. It’s an effort to engage meaningfully with the issues that matter to everyday Americans.
Months Later, the Momentum Continues
While the premiere set the tone with its blockbuster viewership, The Will Cain Show has continued to hold its own in the competitive afternoon slot. For Cain, January’s explosive debut was just the beginning of a deeper conversation—one that millions of viewers clearly wanted to be part of.
