Stephen Miller may command headlines in Washington, but his wife, Katie Miller, leads a life that blends the personal and the political in equal measure. As she pivots into a new chapter with her own podcast, the public is asking: who is the woman at his side?
From first meeting to married life
Katie Waldman, now Katie Miller, didn’t grow up in D.C., but she’s built her life around its power circuits. What’s less known is how her relationship with Stephen evolved. The two spoke by phone for months, often while working on immigration policy in the Trump White House, before finally meeting in person through mutual friends in spring 2018.
Stephen has described their relationship as “very on brand,” noting that their connection began during daily calls about border security. That early professional bond quickly turned personal.
They got engaged in 2019 and married on February 16, 2020, at Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. A senior adviser to former U.S. Ambassador David Friedman officiated the ceremony.
Raising three young children: the Miller family
By late 2025, Stephen and Katie are the parents of three children: a daughter born in November 2020, followed by two sons in February 2022 and September 2023.
Katie has recently opened up more about motherhood. In the announcement video for her podcast, she framed herself as “a mom of three young kids, 4, 3, and almost 2, and a wife, and trying to do a career, eat healthy, work out.” The line resonated with many conservative women navigating similar juggling acts.
Stephen, too, has shared family moments. In an interview earlier this year, he mentioned a cherished photo of President Trump holding their daughter as an infant, adding that she now “is always desperate for any chance to get face time with the president,” whom he called a “child whisperer.”
It’s a glimpse into the blended personal-public world the Millers inhabit, where raising young kids intersects with the highest levels of national power.
From Musk’s advisor to podcast host
Katie’s career has often run parallel to her husband’s, with roles that include spokeswoman at Homeland Security, communications director for Senator Martha McSally, and press secretary to Vice President Mike Pence. Most recently, she served as a key figure in Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), where she shaped Musk’s political messaging and coordinated appearances.
After Musk’s departure from DOGE in mid-2025, Katie also stepped down, and quickly pivoted to something new.
On August 7, 2025, she launched The Katie Miller Show, a weekly podcast aimed at conservative women. Her debut episode featured Vice President JD Vance, underscoring her deep ties to current leadership. In the launch video, Katie appeared casual in jeans and a white tank, speaking directly to women trying to balance motherhood, faith, and influence.

“There isn’t a place for a mom like me,” she said. “A wife, and trying to do a career… and trying to figure out what matters to women.”
Redefining the political power couple
Despite the occasional swirl of online rumors, including speculation about her working dynamic with Musk, Katie has largely kept her private life shielded from drama. Her social media remains sparse, though she did leave a heart emoji reply under a post that praised Stephen Miller, shortly after her exit from Musk’s orbit. A subtle nod, perhaps, but one that spoke volumes.
With Stephen back in one of the most powerful roles in Trump’s second term, and Katie now hosting her own show, the Millers are stepping into the spotlight, not just as political figures, but as a family navigating ambition, loyalty, and love in the public eye.
And this time, Katie’s not just behind the scenes. She’s at the mic.
