Vanna White has surprised Derek Hough with a lovely thoughtful gift ahead of his appearance on “Wheel of Fortune.”
Hough had previously filmed his episode, which is set to air this Friday, alongside the rest of the “Dancing with the Stars” crew, and was on the set of his celebrity news show “Extra” when White appeared out of nowhere.
Hough, 40, is, of course, going to be a father, as his wife, Hayley Erbert, announced that she was pregnant with the couple’s first child back in July. Of course, White’s thoughtful gift had the pregnancy in mind.

In the video, posted to the official Instagram page of “Extra,” the co-host of “Wheel of Fortune,” 68, approaches Hough, much to his delight and surprise. She says, “When you came to the show, we taped your version, which is airing this Friday, I said I was gonna make you a baby blanket. So… here you go!”
White then hands Hough a cute baby-themed gift bag which did indeed contain a beautiful handmade baby blanket.
Hough, clearly touched, replies, “What? Are you kidding me right now? You did not make this!”
It prompted White to prove she did make it by showing a tag she’d attached saying as much, subsequently prompting a clearly emotional Hough to say he couldn’t wait to show it to his wife and wrap his baby up in it.
The pair then taught each other their trademark skills, with White showing Hough how to pose in front of the letters board on “Wheel of Fortune,” and Hough showing White how to perform a simple dance.
The heartwarming video is captioned “Vanna White surprises Derek Hough with the SWEETEST handmade baby gift! Don’t miss Derek and the #DWTS crew on #CelebrityWheelOfFortune this Friday, Sept. 26!”
In the comments, many fans commented on what a lovely gesture the blanket was and how excited they were to see Hough’s episode of “Wheel of Fortune,” while others just wanted to see White on “Dancing with the Stars!”

The comments were, understandably, universally positive underneath the video, as fans gushed over Hough and White’s interaction.
One user wrote, “How fun! And what a sweet blanket for baby Hough! ”
Someone else said, “2 of the nicest people on TV.”
Another person who was excited to see Hough on ‘Wheel of Fortune’ simply wrote, “Can’t wait.. Vanna and Derek are too cute.”
However, after seeing Hough and Vanna White share a dance, most people just wanted to see the latter as a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars.”
One such comment said, “PETITION TO GET VANNA ON DWTS!!! ”
Another said, “Vanna, would love to see you join the DWTS! ”
We have to admit, it’s an intriguing prospect!
