Over the US’s Fourth of July weekend, deadly flash floods tore through central Texas, leaving countless animals displaced, injured, terrified, alone and barely clinging to life in the aftermath.

In moments, the animals’ peaceful homes became disaster zones in one of the deadliest floods in state history.
It is a race against time to rescue the animal survivors, and we need your help.

The loss of life and devastation in Texas is heart-wrenching. In Kerr County, the Guadalupe River surged more than 20 feet (6 meters) in less than two hours, turning homes into death traps. We mourn the 105 people – including children at summer camps – who lost their lives. Hundreds more are still missing.

Many of those people had  pets, and they and countless other stranded animals are still out there – desperately waiting to be rescued.

Local animal shelters are conducting life-saving search and rescue missions, but they are critically overwhelmed, with dozens of lost and displaced pets arriving daily.

That’s why we are asking for your urgent donation today.

Your support will help us rush emergency aid to several critically overwhelmed animal rescue teams on the ground – funding life-saving search and rescue missions and desperately needed food, medical care and safe shelter for hundreds of helpless pets caught in the Texas floods.

As local search and rescue teams scramble to save human lives, it is up to us to save the animals.

Superman was found scared and alone atop a pile of debris following deadly flooding in Kerr County. His owner died.

Our partner, Austin  Pets Alive! (APA!), is in flood-ravaged areas as we write this, desperately scouring riverbanks and wreckages for lost and injured pets, pulling them to safety one by one. APA! has already taken in more than 150 animals since this crisis began, and dozens more are arriving daily. They urgently need help to continue rescuing and caring for stranded pets.

At the same time, our partner, Wings of Rescue, which specializes in emergency relief and evacuation during disasters, needs immediate support to airlift tons of desperately needed  pet food and supplies into the hardest-hit areas of Texas. They are also preparing an emergency flight to transport dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters in Texas to safety in Utah.

More animals will be lost to the floods in Texas – unless we act now.

Your gift today will help us rush critical support to several dedicated animal rescue teams on the ground, empowering them to save as many trapped and terrified Texan pets as they possibly can.

Please, help us rush support to rescue teams so they can save as many stranded animals as possible – before it’s too late!

This is a race against time, it is storm season, and heavy rain could spell another disaster. The animals who survived the first wave of flooding may not survive another.

Help us race to the rescue of stranded pets and provide emergency food, shelter and care for animals who have lost everything in the wake of this disaster.

Please donate generously right now.
