MICHAEL Strahan is set to be joined by two new sports personalities on Good Morning America.

The Fox NFL Sunday analyst appears to have set a trend for other sports personalities to join morning talk television.

According to Front Office Sports’ Ryan Glasspiegel, Malka Andrews and Joe Buck are set to guest-host upcoming episodes of Good Morning America.

Per the report, an ESPN spokesperson confirmed that Andrews will co-host GMA on Saturday and Sunday.

She will also co-host the GMA3 digital program next Monday, July 14.

Buck will co-host the show from Wednesday, July 23 to Friday, July 25.

Glasspiegel also reported other ESPN names are in consideration to make cohosting appearances.

Elle Duncan and Laura Rutledge have both “had discussions to potentially set up dates for later this summer.”

Good Morning America could possibly be testing out hosts as future full-time personalities.

Both Strahan and Robin Roberts come from sports broadcasting backgrounds.

Andrews guest hosting is especially notable as her contract with ESPN expires later this year.

Glasspiegel previously reported that Andrews has many fans within Disney and she could take a career path similar to that of Roberts’.

“Several sports media insiders have independently told FOS that Andrews could eventually follow the Robin Roberts model and flourish on a daytime news and entertainment program within the Disney empire, such as ABC’s Good Morning America,” Glasspiegel reported.

It will be interesting to see if more ESPN personalities make the jump into talk shows in the future.

Sports fans have mixed opinions about Buck and Andrews joining GMA, and shared their thoughts on social media.
