Kat Timpf, a well-known Fox News anchor and standout on *Gutfeld!*, has announced she will undergo a double mastectomy following a recent breast cancer diagnosis. At 36, having just welcomed her first child, Timpf shared a photo outside Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, revealing her upcoming surgery plans.

In a post on X, Timpf wrote: “Once I recover from childbirth, my mole removal scars heal, I get a double mastectomy, eliminate my cancer, have breast reconstruction, and can hit the gym again, it’s game over!” Her words, brimming with resilience and optimism, reflect her fighting spirit amid this major challenge.

A Diagnosis on a Milestone Day

Timpf first disclosed her health condition on February 25 via an “unconventional birth announcement” on X. She noted her breast cancer is at Stage 0 and expressed confidence that it “almost certainly hasn’t spread.” She recounted: “Last week, I gave birth to my first child. About 15 hours before labor began, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My doctor says it’s Stage 0 and believes it hasn’t spread. I told the few people I’ve shared this with: Don’t panic—it’s just a little cancer.”

She described that chaotic day vividly. “I woke up over a week past due, fixated on getting the baby out. By afternoon, I was shuffling between appointments, discussing how to remove my cancer. They advised a double mastectomy as soon as possible. I asked every question, even requesting a tumor ultrasound copy to stick on the fridge next to my baby’s. By midnight, I was on my apartment floor in spontaneous labor, then off to meet my son at the hospital.”

The Road Ahead

Timpf, a veteran of Fox News programs and author of two books, had planned a three-month maternity leave. Now, that break takes on new weight as she faces surgery and recovery. Colleagues at Fox News rallied around her on X, with Greg Gutfeld writing, “We’re all here for you, Kat!” and Lisa ‘Kennedy’ Montgomery praising, “You’re amazing in every way.”
