Season 27 marked Adam Levine’s return to “The Voice” after a six-year break and introduced Kelsea Ballerini as a first-time coach. They joined veteran judges John Legend and Michael Bublé in the iconic red chairs. For season 28, the lineup is shifting once again.

Snoop Dogg is the first confirmed coach for season 28. He originally joined the show as a coach in season 26, finishing in fifth place. After sitting out season 27, he’s set to return to the big red chair this fall. NBC announced the full coaching lineup on May 12, revealing that Michael Bublé will be the only coach returning from season 27. He’ll join Snoop Dogg, along with Niall Horan and Reba McEntire, for season 28.

Snoop had hinted at a comeback during the season 26 finale, telling host Carson Daly that he wasn’t done with “The Voice” just yet. “Man, this has been a great experience for me. I didn’t know what I was signing on to, but I do know it feels like I could come back and do it again,” he said.

NBC also revealed that Snoop Dogg’s production company, Death Row Pictures, has signed a multi-year deal with the network, announced alongside news of his return to “The Voice.”

“Not everyone has the courage and vision to see what Death Row Pictures can bring to the table, but Donna [Langley] and the NBCUniversal team have always understood, which is why I am proud to call NBCUniversal my new home,” Snoop said in a statement. “The Dogg has officially moved into the neighborhood, ya dig?”

Niall Horan and Reba McEntire are both returning coaches with strong track records on The Voice. Horan won both seasons 23 and 24 during his time as a coach, while McEntire served on the panel for seasons 24 through 26 and led her team to victory in season 25. Carson Daly, who has hosted the show since its premiere in season 1, is also expected to return for season 28.
