Collins told Chron her fiancé had planned the moment for months. “Playing Pebble Beach Golf Course in California was already a dream,” she said. “To get engaged on the property was unreal!” Her parents, Linda and Bob Collins, joined them for the once-in-a-lifetime trip. Her sister, Lexi, was unable to attend since she is staring in a Real Short film in Los Angeles, “but, she’s thrilled to call Conner her brother-in-law,” Collins said. 
On Friday, Collins shared various engagement photos taken at the Spanish Bay Golf Course. She also took to TikTok, where she has more than 1 million followers, to post a “get ready with me” video behind the scenes of the lavish photoshoot. “The way Conner did everything was so sweet and it was so a mixture of him and I. It was perfect,” Collins said of the engagement. “I got to golf and now I get to get fancy and that’s like my personality.”

She attended Point Park University in Pittsburgh on a full-ride golf scholarship and played on the university’s women’s golf team. She holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting as well as a master’s in communication technology.
Collins began her career in broadcasting at WJET-WFXP in Erie, Pa., where she was a general assignment reporter, fill-in anchor, and producer. She joined FOX 26 in December 2022 after working as a morning news anchor at KSEE Sunrise News in Fresno, Calif. She and Shayesteh began dating a few months before her move to Houston and maintained a long-distance relationship.
