Vanna White BREAKS SILENCE on Pat Sajak After His Wheel of Fortune Exit—Fans STUNNED by the Truth About Their Friendship as She Reveals What Really Happened Behind the Scenes of America’s Most Beloved Game Show

In a revelation no one saw coming, Vanna White has finally opened up about her friendship with Pat Sajak following his emotional departure from Wheel of Fortune. After decades of sharing the iconic stage, White admitted the dynamic between them has shifted—and not in the way fans expected. Her update, both honest and surprising, reveals a complex post-show reality that goes far beyond the glitz of the puzzle board. Is their bond stronger than ever, or quietly fading into the past? You’ll want to hear Vanna’s own words—this isn’t the story you thought you knew. Read the full scoop and see what she really said.

Nearly a year after Pat Sajak’s retirement from Wheel of Fortune, Vanna White is speaking out about the current state of their relationship.

In a new interview with TV Insider published April 24, White, 68, said that Sajak, 78, is still a big part of her life.

“I still see him! We’re friends,” she shared. She added that the two “have dinner” together sometimes, reassuring fans, “Yeah, he’s still in my life.”

White and Sajak hosted Wheel of Fortune together for decades, with Sajak starting in 1981 and White joining the show in 1982. Their long-standing friendship hasn’t changed, White said.

“It’s like slipping into something very comfortable,” she explained. “I mean that in the best possible way. It’s just comfortable.”

However, White admitted that when Sajak first left the show in June 2024, it was an emotional time for her. “It was sad for me in a way because [at the time] I didn’t know what the future held,” she recalled. “It was ending an unbelievable era!”

While Sajak has shifted his focus, including returning to the theater stage in Hawaii, White has continued her role on Wheel of Fortune alongside new co-host Ryan Seacrest.

Seacrest officially took over Sajak’s duties in September 2024, and according to White, he handled the transition with care.

“Ryan did his homework. He rehearsed and rehearsed and rehearsed,” White said. She added that Seacrest assured her early on: “I am not replacing Pat Sajak because no one could – ever. I am just stepping in.” White said Seacrest’s words made her feel good, adding: “as Ryan said, he’s just stepping in – he’s not trying to prove anything.”

White and Sajak will reunite for episodes of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, a version of the show that Sajak has continued to host even after stepping away from the daily game show.

Meanwhile, Seacrest has praised White for helping him settle into his new role.

Speaking to PEOPLE last September, Seacrest shared: “She said, ‘Just go out there and have fun and be yourself.’” He added, “The good thing about this game show is that you get to be yourself. It has a little looseness to it. It doesn’t have to be so strict and so formatted. It has those moments of real life and humanity.”
