Todd Chrisley answered nearly all the burning questions about his release from prison — and Us Weekly is recapping it all.

On Friday, May 30, the Chrisley Knows Best star, 56, joined his daughter Savannah ChrisleySavannah Chrisley for a press conference in Nashville after being pardoned by President Donald Trump.

“I want to thank first and foremost my lord and savior because that’s who got me through it,” he said. “[Savannah] has fought a long fight and for any parent to see their child fight this hard, it’s a double-edged sword. It’s a blessing and then your heart breaks because your child has been placed in that position. … I will always be grateful to [Savannah] from the bottom of my heart.”

Todd explained that his wife, Julie Chrisley, was not present at the press conference because she wanted to be home with the couple’s 12-year-old adopted daughter, Chloe.

Although Todd and his wife, 52, were indicted on tax evasion, bank and wire fraud and conspiracy charges in 2019 and were ultimately found guilty, the reality star denied any wrongdoing.

“Even though this pardon has happened, I still was convicted of something that I did not do,” he said at the press conference. “It could be you. It could be any of you.”

After promising to fight for injustices in the prison system, Todd and Savannah, 27, answered burning questions about the next chapter of the Chrisleys. Keep reading to see all the bombshells from the press

Todd Chrisley’s Life in Prison

While Todd admitted life behind bars was “bad,” he revealed some “blessings” out of the experience.

“I have met some wonderful men,” he shared. “I have listened to some horrific stories about things that have gone on in our system. … I still was convicted of something that I did not do. It could be you. It could be any of you. …  I will continue to fight for all the guys that I dealt with and that I was blessed to be with.”

Todd and Savannah Chrisley’s Message to Critics

“I think the biggest misconception right now is that I either paid for a pardon or slept for a pardon,” Savannah shared during Friday’s news conference.

Todd joked, “That’s something I would do.”

Instead, Savannah explained that she spent “countless hours” going to Washington D.C. and scheduling meetings with complete strangers in hopes they would hear her family’s situation.

“People think, ‘Oh, you’re a celebrity, you’re white, you have money,’ that we got an upper hand, and we didn’t,” she said. “I had to fight, and I was relentless, and that’s how it happened. Finally, people listened.”

Todd Chrisley’s Physical Appearance

During the press conference, Todd was asked about the media’s fascination with his physical appearance after Savannah thought he looked “jacked.”

According to the Chrisley Knows Best star, he likes to call it the “BOP Glow.”

“I actually have more access to better products right now that I’m out,” he said with a laugh. “I had nothing to do other than to read and to work out. I worked out every morning at 10:45 until 12, with my buddies there, and I read, and my walk with Christ became deeper, and I talked to my daughter every day [and] to Chase to Greyson.  I was able to email with Julie every day. … Maybe it’s all the residual botox that didn’t wear off.”

Todd Chrisley’s Reality TV Future

Savannah confirmed during the press conference that reality TV cameras are rolling as the family adjusts to Todd and Julie’s new freedom.

“We had been filming, and we had just wrapped filming for all intents and purposes, and then we get the call that they had been pardoned so we picked right back up,” she said about her family’s upcoming Lifetime series. “We’re excited, because I think this new show is going to give people a look into the trial and things that we went through, and we’re going to set the record straight. It comes full circle because we go back, and then we get to the point where mom and dad are pardoned and now we move forward with our lives.

Todd confirmed that he started filming “literally the night that we got home.”

Savannah predicted that fans could see her father on “quite a few different shows” in the future.

“I think with this new series,” she teased, “you will see the first time he and mom see each other for the first time.”

Todd Chrisley Recalls Reunion With Wife Julie

After more than two years away from each other, Todd and his wife were able to reunite physically in person this week.

“It was overwhelming,” he shared. “Julie and I have been together for over 30 years. She is my best friend. We have raised our children together. We’ve had all the ups and downs. We’ve gone through breast cancer together and it was great to be home.”

The Chrisley Family’s Future in Nashville

While fans have watched the Chrisley kids grow up on reality TV in their Georgia hometown, Todd teased that a move could be in the future.

“We do have future plans,” he teased. “Nashville will always hold a very special place in my heart but we have other plans. We will probably always have a presence here.”

Todd Chrisley’s 1st Trip to Nordstrom

After being released from prison, Todd was spotted by paparazzi shopping at Nordstrom. The reality star said he was surprised by the media’s eagerness to capture the first photo of him since his release.

“What we did not realize is that there were multiple outlets that were following us, but we had interference with the security team,” he said. “And I don’t know why it’s that exciting to watch me buy underwear. We went in to grab a few things because I have an event to go to tomorrow.”
