Todd and Julie Chrisley demand SHOCKING multi-million dollar PAYOUT for new TV comeback—and Hollywood’s SAVAGE reaction stuns insiders

In a move that’s raising eyebrows across the entertainment industry, insiders reveal Todd and Julie Chrisley are asking for an astronomical sum to headline their next TV project. But while the reality duo seems ready for a major comeback, Hollywood’s response has been anything but welcoming. Sources claim one network exec even laughed at the pitch—so what exactly are the Chrisleys asking for, and why has their request triggered such a brutal reaction? Could this be their boldest gamble yet?

See what went down and what it means for their future in the full story below.

In a stunning move last Wednesday, President Trump suddenly pardoned two fellow reality TV stars who had been serving time in federal prison. In 2022, Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley, stars of the USA Network series Chrisley Knows Best, stood trial for eight counts of financial fraud, and two counts of tax evasion, with Julie facing additional wire fraud and obstruction of justice charges. The couple were both found guilty of their charges, and Todd was given a 12-year sentence, while his wife was facing 7-years in federal prison.

The evidence against the couple at trial appeared ironclad. Through documents provided, the Justice Department demonstrated in court that the Chrisley’s had conspired with a former business partner to defraud banks around Atlanta into providing more than $36 million in personal loans.

However, seemingly due to their conservative values, their alignment with the Trump administration’s policies, and the link between the prosecutors in their case and the Georgia prosecutor who charged Trump in 2023 in connection with his efforts to remain in power after the 2020 election, the President took a personal interest in their case and issued a pardon on May 28, 2025. And now, the Chrisleys have provided an update on what that means for filming their new untitled reality series.

Behind the scenes, Todd and Julie’s daughter, Savannah Chrisley, has been calling for her parents’ release since they were first sentenced. Despite the mountain of evidence from the court proceedings, Savannah has steadily proclaimed her parents’ innocence. She even continually complained to her social media followers about the prison conditions her parents faced, suggesting her parents deserved better. Her entitled attitude provoked backlash online from communities that understood prison is not meant to be a luxury resort experience.

But Savannah’s persistence paid off, as her calls to the White House were seemingly prioritized. The couple’s attorney submitted an appeal stating that the their conviction “exemplified the weaponization of justice against conservatives and public figures, eroding basic constitutional protections.” This logic appealed to the Trump administration, and Savannah received a personal phone call from the president to assure her that her parents would be released.

The newly release couple wasted no time getting back on camera after their prison release. Todd was seen on Savannah’s social media almost immediately upon release, laughingly hiding his head in a gift bag while shopping as his daughter stated that he was happy to be home. And on May 30, Todd also made statements at a press conference indicating he and his wife had already picked up filming for their reality TV series. Todd revealed that he and his wife “started filming literally the night that we got home.”

The couple reunited on camera for the first time since reporting to prison in January 2023. Savannah stated that the family had been filming their new, currently untitled, reality series for Lifetime, which had already wrapped filming prior to the news of her parents’ release. But once the pardon came through, the cameras picked back up. Savannah alleged that the new series would provide context for their trial, saying the series would “give people a look into the trial and things we went through, and we’re gonna set the record straight, put some documents out there.”

The couple seem determined to proclaim their innocence now that the pardon has been issued, despite Julia’s apology at trial for her actions. As the family patriarch insisted he was convicted of a crime he did not commit, he declared he feels “no shame” concerning his sentence, and surely this shameless attitude will be on full display in their new reality series, as the Chrisley’s plan to use their platform, in part, to reassert their supposed innocence.
