Whoopi Goldberg has issued a PSA for parents with children who don’t yet know boundaries: Knock on the damn door before you open it, thank you very much.

The Oscar-winning Ghost actress warned The View audience Tuesday that, if they don’t, they might be in danger, girl.

Goldberg issued her warning amid a Hot Topics discussion breaking down actors Ike Barinholtz and Dax Shepard discussing on a recent podcast episode the appropriate age parents should stop appearing naked in front of their children.

“I don’t know why you didn’t teach your kids how to knock on a door. You don’t just walk into people’s rooms or their bathrooms. But, what do I know?” Goldberg asked, while panelist Sara Haines admitted that her kids “do not knock” before walking in on her.

“We talk about privacy, but we have that conversation while I’m sitting on the toilet and they’re standing there with me,” Haines said, with Goldberg later urging, “Teach those children to knock on the door. It’s really not for you.”

As the other cohosts chimed in, Goldberg looked bewildered as she looked out toward the audience for support, particularly after Sunny Hostin asserted that her own children have never seen her or her husband, Manny, in the nude.

“Knock first! Knock! If you knock, someone can say, ‘Not yet!’ Teach them to knock!” Goldberg exclaimed.

Once again, toward the end of the discussion, Goldberg issued a more serious warning to perennial non-knockers: “Knock. On. The door!” she said. “Do not ever walk into any door before you knock! You can get shot! You can get hurt doing that. Knock on the door and see if someone gives you permission. This is like 101! It’s 101!”

Haines yielded to Goldberg’s impassioned plea for tap-tap-tapping on a doorway before walking through it: “I welcome any training of my young children to get them to knock on doors,” she conceded.
