Savannah Chrisley has debunked cruel claims that her mother, Julie Chrisley, faked her battle with breast cancer to avoid court proceedings.

In the latest episode of her Unlocked podcast, the 27-year-old television personality addressed sensational allegations about her mom, 52, who was recently granted a pardon by Donald Trump and released from prison three weeks ago alongside her husband, Todd Chrisley.

Unpacking sick rumors about her mother’s health, Savannah recalled the trauma of Julie’s ordeal with the disease and shared how it took a heavy toll on all the family.

‘Someone commented that my family was this fraud and we’re terrible human beings and how my mother faked her breast cancer diagnosis,’ she began. ‘I was literally dumbfounded.

‘Apparently she faked her breast cancer diagnosis to avoid court proceedings, was what this individual said.’

Recounting her mom’s battle with breast cancer, Savannah confirmed that she was initially diagnosed in 2012.

Julie and Todd – best known for their reality show Chrisley Knows Best and its spin-offs – were convicted in 2022 of defrauding banks out of $30 million.

‘They weren’t federally or criminally charged until 2019, so that right there completely debunks your whole theory,’ she pointed out.

Savannah went on to reveal that she will ‘never forget’ the moment her mother learned she had cancer.

‘She immediately opted for a double mastectomy because Grayson at the time was six years old and mom knew she could not risk the chances of her cancer coming back,’ she recalled.

‘She also had a full hysterectomy because her cancer was estrogen driven. Then she basically went through menopause at the age of 39.’

Savannah described Julie’s side effects as ‘horrible’ and remembered how she slept in a recliner for a year beside her bed because she ‘couldn’t stand to lay all the way down.’

Concluding the segment, she added: ‘So, for someone to make an accusation that my mother lied about having breast cancer at the age of 39, there truly is a special place in hell for you.’

Julie, who announced in 2013 that she was in remission for breast cancer, has been enjoying her newfound freedom since being released from prison.

She had been serving her seven-year prison sentence in Kentucky, while her husband Todd, 56, was serving his 12-year sentence in Florida.

In the days after she was freed Julie was pictured with a head of gray roots, but she has since completely overhauled her appearance and has returned to her signature blonde locks.

Julie’s daughter Savannah played an instrumental role in her and Todd getting a presidential pardon.

Speaking at a press conference alongside her dad on May 30, she said she was ‘relentless’ in her mission to get her parents out.

She told press: ‘The biggest misconception right now is I either paid for a pardon or slept for a pardon.

‘If people knew the countless hours, the money, and the time that I spent doing to [Washington] DC, with not a meeting scheduled, and got on a plane and said, “I’m going to be in the right room at the right time and meet the right people.”‘

She continued: ‘I have fought hard and I was exhausted and I begged for meetings.

‘I was never too good to ask and that’s the thing.

‘People think, you’re a celebrity, you’re white, you have money, that we got an upper hand, but we didn’t. I had to fight, and I was relentless, and that’s how it happened.’
