As the current host of Wheel of Fortune, Ryan is reportedly starting out earning around $28 million a year. But as he’s not signed on for a long-term contract and the fact that ratings for the game show reached record numbers since his September 2024 debut, it’s likely he’ll make more in the coming years.

Involved with the annual New Year’s special since 2005, Forbes reported in 2015 Ryan makes somewhere around $1 million to be the emcee. In fact, he likely makes more than that, as ABC (the network the program airs on) announced in November 2023 that Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve will air through January 2029.
