In a poignant moment on live television, news anchor Katie Phang couldn’t hold back her tears as she bid an emotional farewell to one of her regular guests.

The MSNBC host was in the midst of her penultimate episode of “The Katie Phang Show” when emotions ran high during a political discussion with Representative Jasmine Crockett, the Democratic congresswoman for Texas’s 30th district.

As they reached the conclusion of their conversation, an overwhelmed Katie expressed her feelings: “This is the second-to-last episode of the show. Congresswoman, I wanted to thank you for always getting up early and delivering it but I also want to say thank you for your continuing support for democracy.

“It’s definitely something that you have made your brand, and it’s integrity that you’re bringing and I’m grateful for you, always.”
