And what does this bold new stance signal for her future influence in the conservative sphere?

Laura Ingraham of Fox News appeared to take Elon Musk’s side Thursday, calling him the “Thomas Edison of our time,” while denouncing President Donald Trump’s retaliatory actions against him as the two wealthy men’s online feud continues.

Ingraham threw a few jabs at President Trump during her segment, an odd occurrence for any Fox News program. She simply advised that Trump “disengage” from the online back-and-forth.

“Musk is his own person. The government contracts that he has stand on their own merit. They shouldn’t be called into question,” the Fox News personality said. “Threatening to pull them, that’s not wise when five minutes ago you were, of course, hailing Musk’s work in helping rescue the stranded Americans in space.”

“Elon Musk is like the Thomas he Edison of our time. He sacrificed for America personally and professionally.”

The high-profile feud on X/Truth Social kicked off Thursday after President Trump met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the White House.

President Trump was eventually questioned about Musk and his scathing comments of Trump’s agenda bill this week approximately ten minutes into his bilateral discussion with Merz. “He hasn’t said anything about me that’s bad,” Trump said. “I’d rather have him criticize me than the bill.”

By the end of the discussion, he and Musk had swiftly shifted their disagreement over legislation into personal attacks. Musk essentially live-tweeted his increasingly personal reactions to Trump’s remarks on his social media site X. Trump retaliated forcefully on Truth Social, his own platform.

When the two strong, loud, and ungainly billionaires formed their alliance of convenience last year, many expected the inevitable clash. And it has now made a significant appearance.

In response to an X user who favored Musk over Trump and demanded the president’s impeachment late Thursday afternoon, Musk merely replied, “Yes.”

Given what is being said, it is becoming more and more difficult to see how this argument can be settled without becoming even more ugly.

Musk notably brought out Trump’s uncertainty on the national debt just prior to the Oval Office event, referencing past tweets from a time when Trump was a far more adamant about cutting spending. Musk questioned, “Where is the man who wrote these words?” “Did a body double take his place?”)

Musk went so far as to accuse the Trump administration of hiding material regarding Jeffrey Epstein, a disgraced financier and convicted pedophile. “Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public,” Musk wrote on X. “Have a nice day, DJT!”
