Karoline Leavitt has confessed that her 32-year age difference with her husband is not normal, but she’s shared why it works for them.

Nicholas Riccio, 59, is married to the 27-year-old White House Press Secretary and they have a one-year-old son together, Nicholas Robert Riccio. The couple first met through a mutual friend at a restaurant event and sparks flew immediately.

“I mean it’s a very atypical love story but he’s incredible,” Karoline enthused while discussing their marriage. “He’s the father of my child and he’s the best dad I could ever ask for. And he is so supportive, especially during a very chaotic period of life.”

Karoline also disclosed that she often tells her husband, “I walked into your life and it’s been a circus ever since.” However, she conceded she feels fortunate as he’s “fully on board.”

During an appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show, Karoline further praised, “He is my greatest supporter, he’s my best friend and he’s my rock. He’s built a very successful business himself so now he’s fully supportive of me building my success in my career.”

She also shed light on how things started between her and Nicholas. “A mutual friend of ours hosted an event at a restaurant that he owns up in New Hampshire and invited my husband. I was speaking,” she elaborated.

The mother-of-one added, “We met and we were acquainted as friends. And then we fell in love.” Karoline recently thrilled fans by posting unseen snaps from her wedding day.

Karoline shared the photos from her special day on Instagram, showcasing her stunning white gown as she held hands with her husband. She also took pictures with her guests, who all wore black.

Karoline wrote, “Finally found some time to post a few of my favorite pictures from one of my favorite days!” Her followers rushed to congratulate the couple.
