Karoline Leavitt MOCKS Jasmine Crockett’s rise in jaw-dropping moment—grins on camera after calling viral defense of ‘sick American insult’ a media stunt, igniting instant backlash across both aisles

In a fiery exchange that instantly lit up social media, Karoline Leavitt didn’t hold back when asked about Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett’s recent viral defense. With a pointed grin, Leavitt dismissed the rising Democrat’s moment as nothing more than a “media stunt wrapped in victimhood.” But it was her cold reference to the issue as a “sick American insult” that really turned heads. Was it brutal honesty—or a calculated jab that went too far?

Press secretary Karoline Leavitt took to the podium in the James S. Brady press briefing room in the White House to meet with members of the press and to espouse the will of her boss, U.S President Donald Trump. This is the first time that the press secretary has addressed members of the press since Trump’s brief appearance at the G7 Summit.During the gaggle, Leavitt slammed the actions of a rising Democrat star, Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett, who allegedly said that all the people who voted for the president were “mentally ill”. The comment caused Leavitt to smirk.

“She is a rising star; it is quite something to behold, actually,” Leavitt said. “I hope that she continues to be a rising star for the Republican Party at least.”

“I think it’s incredibly derogatory to accuse nearly 80 million Americans of mental illness,” she added. “Last time I checked, Jasmine Crockett couldn’t dream of winning such a majority of the public as President Trump did.”

She continued, “The America First movement, which President Trump has built, is filled with hard-working patriots, the forgotten men and women, business owners, law enforcement officers, nurses, teachers, and middle America, as we all know, from where you all grew up, outside this beltway. That’s who makes up this president’s movement.”

“And Jasmine Crockett should go to a Trump rally sometime and she can see it for herself,” Leavitt finished. One politically savvy social media user on X pointed out that Trump only secured 77,302,580 votes.

The press secretary’s comment received a lot of backlash. “At least she’s not denying it,” one person stated. “This movement cheers at locking up opponents, beating journalists, and military crackdowns… and then clutches pearls over words? Please,” a second said.

It was reported that Leavitt had allegedly clashed with Trump when the two issued conflicting statements about the president’s sudden departure. Taking to X, Leavitt wrote, “Much was accomplished, but because of what’s going on in the Middle East, President Trump will be leaving tonight after dinner with Heads of State.”

However, Trump later issued his own statement contradicting her. “Publicity-seeking President Emmanuel Macron, of France, mistakenly said that I left the G7 Summit, in Canada, to go back to D.C. to work on a ‘cease fire’ between Israel and Iran. Wrong,” he wrote.

“He has no idea why I am now on my way to Washington, but it certainly has nothing to do with a Cease Fire,” Trump added. “Much bigger than that. Whether purposely or not, Emmanuel always gets it wrong. Stay Tuned!”

Earlier this week, Trump and several other world leaders gathered in Canada with the hopes of finding common ground in order to help alleviate a series of global pressure points, only to be disrupted by a showdown over Iran’s nuclear program. Israel launched an aerial bombardment campaign against Iran four days ago and Trump warned people to evacuate Tehran.

While at the summit, Trump warned that Tehran needs to curb its nuclear program before it’s “too late.” He said Iranian leaders would “like to talk” but they had already had 60 days to reach an agreement on their nuclear ambitions and failed to do so before the Israeli aerial assault began. “They have to make a deal,” he said.

When asked what it would take for the U.S. to get involved in the conflict militarily, Trump said Monday morning, “I don’t want to talk about that.“ As of Thursday, Israel has targeted multiple Iranian nuclear program sites but has not been able to destroy Iran’s Fordo uranium enrichment facility.

By Monday afternoon, Trump warned ominously on social media, “Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!” Shortly after that, Trump decided to leave the summit and skip a series of Tuesday meetings that would address the ongoing war in Ukraine and global trade issues.

As Trump posed for a picture Monday evening with the other G7 leaders, he said simply, “I have to be back, very important.”
