Craig Melvin is currently on an extended break from the Today Show, but it looks as though there could be trouble in paradise.

The 45-year-old anchor updated his 415,000 Instagram followers with an insight into his time away with his family, but fans immediately noticed a worrying detail and flooded him with questions. In said snap, Craig, who is married to Lindsay Czarniak and shares two children: son Delano and daughter Sybil, posed for a wholesome snap with his entire family as they celebrated the Easter weekend.

“Easter and spring break in DC. We saw the pandas, Mt. Vernon, the African-American history museum, a slew of monuments, our old neighborhoods, friends, and family. One of the highlights was an amazing meal @dogondc. @chefkwameonwuachi has done it again. A memorable week for sure,” Craig captioned the sweet carousel post.

Lindsay dressed for the occasion in a summery blue and green floral dress and accessorized with a pair of white bunny ears. Alongside her was Craig, who looked smart in a pastel pink button-up shirt, beige pants and brown canvas shoes.

Delano also looked cool in a blue T-shirt and shorts as he threw a peace sign for the camera. However, it was little Sybil who sparked worry among fans. The eight-year-old smiled for the camera in a cute pair of bright pink shorts and a pink vest top, but she was sporting a cast on her left leg and held herself up with crutches as she posed for the family portrait.

Sybil was also pictured with her cast and crutches in several of the other selfies included in Craig’s Easter photodump. This detail certainly didn’t go unnoticed by fans who flocked to the comment section to raise an alarm. One user asked, “Oh no….does your little one have another injury?! Poor think but she’s always smiling! Beautiful family!”

A second person similarly wrote, “Oh your sweet daughter, I hope she’s ok,” as another follower added, “Happy Easter!!! You have such a wonderful family. I hope your daughter has a speedy recovery.”

“Broken arm, now crutches? Sybbie!!” fretted a fan and someone else echoed, “And crutches?!?!???????!!” Craig didn’t address any of the comments or give an explanation for why Sybil was on crutches.

This worrying update comes as NBC announced his Today Show replacement while he’s on a break. Savannah Guthrie, 53, made the shake-up announcement during an episode of the show on April 10.

“And by the way, we’ve got some special news! After Mike gets his fill of golf, all next week he’s going to join us right here in studio 1A. Craig’s going on Easter break with his kids. Tirico, you are going to fill in and co-host!”

Savannah then asked Mike, “Are you ready?” The presenter, who appeared virtually while reporting from a golf course, replied, “I was so excited about it, and then I just watched Jon Hamm’s live audition, and now I’m out. I can’t do this,” referring to an earlier segment in which guest Jon read lines off of the teleprompter while sitting down for an interview with Savannah.

Mike then said about his colleague, “But no, Melvin showed he could host the Olympics when I was traveling back and forth, so figure if we can try to go for an even trade here, I’m looking forward to being with y’all next week.” Savannah said, “It’s awesome. It’s all in the family. We love it.”

Craig then chimed in, “This is also, by the way, literally the only job in television Mike Tirico has not done,” prompting his colleagues to laugh. The announcement was shared on the official Today Instagram page, with fans taking to the comment section to express their excitement.

“Have a great vacation, Craig, but having Mike fill in will be fun to watch,” said one person, while another person added, “This should be great as Mike is so fun!”

A third raved, “Omg, this is actually iconic!!!!!” as someone else added, “Mike is awesome!” and a ffith also expressed their excitement, sharing “Welcome, Mike. I’ll be watching!”
