Angel Reese is doing everything she can on the court to will her team to victory, and it is simply not working.

Reese of the Chicago Sky scored a season-high 17 points on 8-of-13 shooting and 11 rebounds in a game against the New York Liberty on June 10, but the team still lost by double digits. She also had three assists in 31 minutes. Her 61.5% field-goal percentage marked a season-best.

Reese delivered a mix of put-back lay-ups, driving finishes, and her second 3-pointer of the season.

This performance marked her 30th career double-double, making her the fastest to reach that milestone in WNBA history.

It wasn’t a perfect performance, as Reese committed five turnovers and was called for a flagrant foul.

Despite her individual success, the Chicago Sky lost 85-66 to the Liberty.

Prior to Tuesday night’s game between the Chicago Sky and New York Liberty, reporters asked Angel Reese if she looks forward to playing in the Big Apple.

“I love New York. It’s probably my favorite city to play in,” Reese told reporters.

“This arena is legendary. It feels like bright lights. I just love being here. This environment is great. I really enjoy being here.”
