We all know that Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has a killer voice, but did you know the man can do a flawless Frank Sinatra impression? In one of the most popular segments in the history of The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon put Levine up to singing “Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes” in the style of Sinatra, no doubt expecting a hilarious segment. Fallon got that, but seemingly wasn’t counting on how on point Levine would be singing in Ol’ Blue Eyes’ style, especially as it’s so different from his usual style.

Not to be outdone, Fallon gave one of his greatest Wheel of Musical Impressions performances singing “Rude” in the style of Bob Dylan, nailing The Bard’s style in a cheeky segment that had many a viewer rolling. Levine then stepped up his game by singing the Sesame Street theme in the style of Michael Jackson, producing many viewers’ favorite part of the show. Levine’s Wheel of Musical Impressions performance produced the 11th most streamed segment in the history of The Tonight Show, as it drew 85 million views on YouTube. Viewers loved hearing Levine stretch his legs musically and added comments such as “This is still my favorite Wheel of Musical Impressions. One of few that does not feel rehearsed. Adam killed it!” and “When Adam does the Michael Jackson one, there you can clearly see he knows about music, this takes great timing with the rhythm and beat.”

Levine is a regular on The Tonight Show, as both an interviewee and performer with Maroon 5. He previously shared his side-splitting musical impressions on the show when he showed off his ability to mimic ‘90s R&B hitmaker Aaron Neville. There’s something about how silly this segment is that made me laugh more than any of his other impressions, and it’s definitely not one to sleep on.

Levine fans among readership probably won’t be surprised to hear that he’s such an expert at mimicking Sinatra. After all, Maroon 5 issued a studio cover of “The Way You Look Tonight,” which is a tune that was previously recorded by Ol’ Blue Eyes in 1964. While Sinatra wasn’t the first to record “The Way You Look Tonight,” his version is the best-known take on the song. The swinging Maroon 5 version seems to take a fair shake of influence from the Sinatra version in both the arrangement and vocal delivery.
