Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield now have almost no chance of a successful reconciliation, according to recent reports.

The alleged feud between Holly Willoughby and her former This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield resurfaced this month, despite both parties having now left the show.

In his three-part series Cast Away, which saw him marooned on a desert island alone for ten days with just his cameras for company, Phillip made a scathing and none-too-subtle swipe at the “three s***s” of ITV. Fans widely believed the insult to refer to Holly, after he described one of the mystery trio as “too brand orientated”.

Meanwhile, it’s rumoured that Phillip has referred to her as “The Witch” in text messages, following his complaint that he’d suffered a “complete betrayal”. Holly has not publicly reacted and it is thought that she will not be responding or considering her own tell-all interview, despite rumours to the contrary.

Phillip’s comments could cost him valuable relationships in television, with Holly’s husband Dan Baldwin running a production company, Hungry Bear, which is behind shows such as Gladiators and Michael McIntyre’s Big Show. Castaway was notably screened on Channel 5, leading fans to speculate over whether he has burned his bridges at ITV permanently.

The TV host had landed himself in hot water over an age-relationship with a much younger colleague whom he’d first met when the man was just 15, and has since stated he was sacked by the channel. With the furore showing no sign of cooling down, a source reportedly surmised to Mail Online: “The friendship between Holly and Phil is well and truly over – there is no way she is going to speak to him again after this.”

Meanwhile, the source also dropped the bombshell that Holly’s TV producer husband is equally “furious about Phil’s behaviour towards her”.

“From rumours he refers to her as ‘the Witch’ in messages with friends to his barbed jibe about the ‘three s***s in showbiz’ in his Channel 5 show Cast Away, Dan has well and truly had enough.”

A representative for Holly has been approached for comment.

Phillip had claimed on Cast Away, while collecting wood to help him stoke a fire in the wilderness, that he knew “a lot of amazing people in morning television”.

Then he made the audacious claim that there were “only three s***s”.

Looking visibly angry, he declared: “One of them is a coward who never stepped up… when I was being battered by [a] journalist… and the other one is just brand-orientated – not what you expect, not what you think you’re gonna get.”

Wylde Moon founder Holly has opted to keep a dignified silence in the wake of Phillip’s public comments.
