Aishah Hasnie was born in Lahore, Pakistan, but at the age of 6, her parents moved her to Bedford, Indiana. She studied at Bedford North Lawrence High School. After that, she joined her peers at Indiana University.
It’s interesting to know, that Aishah found her calling not immediately. At first, she studied Biology, but after a few classes Hasnie understood, that was not her cup of tea. She wrote for a college paper and soon felt that it was her vocation.
Ms. Hasnie changed her writing for the role of a TV reporter after graduation. She visited her cousin, a famous correspondent Maira Ansari in Springfield, Illinois. Aishah watched Maira working at WICS-TV and immediately felt that she had to give it a try.
Having started by her cousin’s side, soon Aishah found her voice. She was hired as an intern for GEO-TV in Pakistan. Hasnie went to her parents’ country to develop a free press there, which was not an easy task. Later Aishah returned to the USA.
As the WANE-TV reporter in Fort Wayne, Indiana she contributed to “voyeurism law”. With Aishah’s assistance, it became stricter. At that time, she got an Emmy Award nomination.
In 2011 Aishah was hired for FOX59. Having gained wide recognition in that position, the young and talented correspondent moved even further. In 2019 she moved to New York City and occupied the position of an overnight anchor at The Fox News Channel.
