Two weeks after the American Idol season 23 finale, fan-favorite finalists Gabby Samone and Kolbi Jordan reunited with winner Jamal Roberts in Nashville for a fun and feel-good meetup.
On the evening of June 3, 2025, Roberts went live on Facebook from a local nail salon where the trio got pedicures together—drawing thousands of views and sparking a flood of comments from fans.
The 27-year-old soul singer joked that the girls “dragged” him out for a little self-care, quipping, “My feet did need a little TLC — I’ve been running for Jesus a long time!”
Samone, Jordan, and Roberts became close friends while competing on American Idol, despite living in different cities: Samone in Baltimore, Jordan in Tulsa, and Roberts in Meridian, Mississippi. The playful pedicure session was a sweet way to reconnect ahead of the Idol reunion concert taking place June 4 in Nashville.
Fans Love Seeing the Trio Back Together
Viewers were thrilled to see the three friends laughing, teasing, and singing along with the radio during their pedicures. Over 14,000 comments poured in on Roberts’ Facebook Live.
“I love how no one was bitter and y’all stayed friends,” one viewer wrote, while another added, “Y’all friends for life 💖”
At one point, Roberts turned the camera to Jordan as she squirmed and squealed while getting her feet scrubbed. “Look at her, she can’t even sit still,” he laughed, hinting this wasn’t their first pedicure adventure together.
John Foster and Breanna Nix Also Reunite in Nashville
It wasn’t just the top three enjoying reunion vibes. Season 23 runner-up John Foster and third-place finisher Breanna Nix also linked up in Nashville and shared a cheerful Instagram Story on June 3.
“Got my good friend @officialjohnfoster & our yummy drinks,” Nix captioned the clip, which showed them clinking their canned drinks. Foster reposted the moment and added, “Glad to be back with friends like @breannanixmusic!”
The pair also visited Seacrest Studios, posting a sweet video about how much they miss American Idol host Ryan Seacrest.
Their reunion, like the others, took place just ahead of the June 4 American Idol alumni concert, where both are set to perform.
Who’s Performing at the 19 Recordings/BMG Takeover?
The annual 19 Recordings/BMG Takeover concert is scheduled for June 4 in Nashville, kicking off the week of CMA Fest. The event brings together some of Idol’s most popular recent contestants.
The lineup includes Jamal Roberts, Gabby Samone, Kolbi Jordan, John Foster, and Breanna Nix, as well as Thunderstorm Artis, Mattie Pruitt, Colin Stough, Haven Madison, HunterGirl, Will Moseley, Wé Ani, and Ajii.
One name missing? 18-year-old Slater Nalley, who placed in the top five. Fans noticed his absence and speculated online, noting that he recently signed a management deal outside of 19 Recordings—possibly explaining why he’s sitting this event out.
Big Moments Ahead for Foster and Friends
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Foster expressed his excitement about performing in Nashville, writing, “This will be my first ‘official’ appearance in Music City, which is quite the milestone!”
Over Memorial Day weekend, he also performed at Cajun Country Jam in Louisiana—his first live show since Idol. Next up: the Grand Ole Opry on June 7.
“The first time I went to the Opry, I fought back tears because I was so overwhelmed with joy,” Foster shared. “As an amateur country music historian, there is no more significant place to my passion (country music) than the Grand Ole Opry. This has been my #1 dream ever since I started music, and now, because of your support, my dream will come true!”
From nail salon hangouts to dream-stage milestones, the American Idol season 23 family is showing fans that the music—and the friendships—are far from over.
