Dylan revealed that Al, a beloved Today anchor, often jokes with her, saying that she’s “waiting for the day he retires.” However, she quickly added, “I truly enjoy working with him so much. He’s just that quintessential guy who knows how TV works. Chemistry happens when the person you’re with makes you shine, and that’s how it is with Al and Sheinelle and Craig – I mean, everybody that I get to work with on the 3rd Hour, we all… make each other shine.”

Dylan has become a regular presence on Today, hosting alongside Craig Melvin, Al, Hoda Kotb, and Sheinelle Jones. She also frequently steps in for Al and Carson Daly, appears on The Weather Channel, and contributes to NBC Nightly News.

When asked about her future with the Today show, Dylan shared her hope for longevity: “There’s something so special about where we’re at right now,” she said. “I want what we’re doing to keep going as long as it keeps going.” She concluded with, “Today feels like such a family to me, so I hope to stay as long as they’ll have me.”

Golfing and Family Life

Over the weekend, Dylan was participating in The Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, where she faced off against pro golfers. Dylan posted on social media, proudly sharing her improvement: “Ok, let’s put this into perspective. Last year, Day 1 I scored 0 points. This year I scored 5! Still last place but way better than last year! Doesn’t matter… either way, I had a great day on the course.”

Dylan also shared how golf became a shared passion with her husband, Brian Fichera. “When my husband and I first started dating, he said he loved golf and let me buy you a set of clubs,” she recalled. “I just had a great coach and I just fell in love with it right away, and it just became the thing that we do together.”

Al Roker’s Health Struggles and Dedication

Fans have expressed both concern and admiration for Al Roker’s resilience as he has faced significant health challenges over the past year. In November 2022, Al was hospitalized for blood clots and later underwent knee replacement surgery in May 2023. Despite these setbacks, Al has continued to shine on Today, maintaining his rigorous hosting duties, keeping an active lifestyle, and staying connected with his family.

At 69, Al shows no signs of slowing down, and fans continue to marvel at his ability to stay active and bring joy to viewers each morning. While retirement rumors swirl, it seems that Al is focused on his health and on continuing his beloved role at Today for the foreseeable future.
