Anna Camp has hilariously admitted that puking scenes are at the very top of her acting résumé, joking she’s known for “Puking for hire.” From her memorable moment in Pitch Perfect to her latest comedy Bride Hard, Camp has made a surprising career out of this unusual skill. But why does Hollywood keep casting her to do it? Discover the hilarious truth behind her bizarre on-screen specialty now! 👇👇

Anna Camp Revives Her Pitch Perfect Puking Skill in Bride Hard: ‘Puking for Hire’

Anna Camp is no stranger to playing characters who end up in, well, messy situations, and her latest role in Bride Hard is no exception. Fans of Pitch Perfect—where Camp’s character, Aubrey, became infamous for vomiting during the a cappella finals—will get a kick out of seeing her bring the same “talent” to her new film, albeit in a slightly more contained manner.

In Bride Hard, Camp plays Betsy, a bride-to-be whose bachelorette party takes a chaotic turn. After enjoying a little too much fun with Viking strippers and cocktails, Betsy finds herself telling her maid of honor, Sam (played by Pitch Perfect alum Rebel Wilson), “I think I need to make a small vomit.” She proceeds to do just that, echoing her iconic Pitch Perfect moment, but this time in a more controlled environment.

When asked about the similarity between the two scenes, Camp couldn’t help but laugh, telling Entertainment Weekly, “I have puked in almost everything I’ve ever done. I’ve puked on stage. I puked in a pilot that didn’t go anywhere. I obviously puked in Pitch Perfect.”

Camp, known for her comedic timing, continued, “I puke in Bride Hard. I puked in a couple of other independent films that I’ve done. I don’t know why people look at me and they’re like, ‘Wow, that girl, she can puke. If we need to hire an actress to puke, get Anna Camp.’”

“Puking for Hire”

When Wilson jokingly asked if Camp lists vomiting as a skill on her résumé, Camp responded, “Oh, it’s actually at the top of my résumé. It says, ‘Puking for hire.’” Her sense of humor and willingness to embrace her past Pitch Perfect moments shine through as she talks about her ongoing reputation for, well, throwing up on-screen.

In Bride Hard, the action ramps up beyond the puking antics. Wilson plays a secret agent named Sam, who is determined to make sure her best friend Betsy has the perfect wedding day. However, when a group of mercenaries crashes the party and takes the guests hostage, Sam finds that being a bridesmaid might be her most difficult mission yet.

A Dream Team Reunion

For those wondering about the dynamic between Camp and Wilson, this is the first time they’ve worked together since Pitch Perfect 3 in 2017. The two are close friends in real life, and both actresses were eager to collaborate once again. “Anna’s so great, she’s always working on other projects. She’s such a versatile actress, can do any genre,” Wilson gushed. “I always thought, weirdly, I’d love to do something on stage with her, because we both come from being stage actresses, but then this came up and we’re like, we’ve got to get Anna in one of the roles.”

Camp, on her part, was eager to play Betsy in Bride Hard from the moment she read the script. “I immediately read the script and I was like, I have to play Betsy,” she said. “We have to play besties. We’re such good friends in real life that I felt like it would be a perfect crossover to being on screen.”

Wilson joked about how the role was practically written for Camp: “I was like, whoa, okay, great. Let me just cancel the other famous actress who had originally been offered that role.”

The Cast and Reception

Bride Hard also stars Anna Chlumsky, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Gigi Zumbado, Stephen Dorff, and Justin Hartley. The film, which blends comedy and action, is now playing in theaters and has garnered positive attention for its light-hearted take on the classic action movie formula with a wedding twist.

With her infectious humor and unique talent for “puking on demand,” Anna Camp continues to entertain audiences in new and exciting ways. Fans of Pitch Perfect will surely appreciate her nod to her earlier work while enjoying her new, adventurous role in Bride Hard.
