There’s a reason he was re-elected to this office; It’s because of the historic success of his economic formula in the first term.”
After a reporter at the press conference pointed out that the online retailer will now display a number next to the price of each product that shows how much Trump’s tariffs are adding to prices, Leavitt called the move “hostile and political.”
When the show’s camera cut back to Goldberg in the room, she was fully lying back in her chair, her eyes to the ceiling as she feigned unconsciousness over the development.

“When you have people turning to Amazon and all of a sudden the prices are jacked up, I actually think it’s transparency to say, ‘This wasn’t us,’” Haines said. “And if President Trump believes this was such a great idea, he should just own it and be proud of it rather than being disgraced when people know about it.”
