Following a contentious altercation with Michael Strahan of Good Morning America, Karoline Leavitt’s fan base has given her a new nickname.

In an interview on Wednesday, Leavitt surprised Strahan by defending President D̶o̶n̶a̶l̶d̶ ̶T̶r̶u̶m̶p̶’s attempts to compel federal employees to return to their Washington, DC, offices.

Strahan voiced worries that federal scientists and physicians would quit their positions rather than go back to their offices five days a week.

“Is there any worry that we might lose highly qualified individuals, such as physicians and, say, scientists?” He inquired.

As the youngest press secretary in the position’s history, Leavitt, 27, has immediately gained the support of the president and his followers.

During her first appearance in the W̶h̶i̶t̶e̶ ̶H̶o̶u̶s̶e̶ press briefing room on Tuesday, she declared that she was rearranging the seating arrangements by providing seats to influencers and new media outlets.

She declared, “You will be able to apply for press credentials in this W̶h̶i̶t̶e̶ ̶H̶o̶u̶s̶e̶ if you are producing legitimate news content, regardless of the medium, whether you are a TikTok content creator, blogger, or podcaster.”

Leavitt spends her time at home with her husband Nicholas Riccio and their infant son Niko when she isn’t physically present at her workplace at the W̶h̶i̶t̶e̶ ̶H̶o̶u̶s̶e̶.

Despite the fact that she was expecting a child during the campaign, she was thankful when Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita, the campaign managers for Tr̶u̶m̶p̶, offered her a position.

Regarding the president, Leavitt clarified, “He doesn’t care if you’re a man or a woman, with kids or no kids.” All he wants is the best candidate for the position and the hardest worker. And for that reason, he is an excellent boss.

On social media, she stated that working at the W̶h̶i̶t̶e̶ ̶H̶o̶u̶s̶e̶ was an honor but also a difficult sacrifice.

She told supporters, “I remind myself that this job is temporary, but it’s the opportunity of a lifetime, and I know one day he will be proud of his mama.”

When Leavitt expressed her concerns about “biased” debate moderators Jake Tapper and Dana Bash on CNN in June, she went viral.

Leavitt’s microphone was cut off by CNN anchor Kasie Hunt, who concluded the interview by stating that she would not tolerate criticism of her coworkers or their journalistic ethics.

A supporter pointed out that while it was simpler for a communications specialist to be aggressive during a presidential campaign, the tone needed to change once the president was in office.

In order to get employees back in the office, Tr̶u̶m̶p̶ signed an executive order requiring federal agencies to develop a return to work plan.

“Remember that this government is funded by the American people, and they deserve those who are truly showing up to work on their behalf,” she said.

Just 6% of federal employees in Washington, DC, were working full-time in their offices, Leavitt said on Wednesday.

Look at the gorgeous buildings in this city; this government has been squandering millions of dollars on empty office space. “They’ve been here for decades, and they’re gorgeous,” she said.

Earlier in the week, Tr̶u̶m̶p̶ gave federal employees the option to accept a buyout, which would allow them to keep their jobs until September with full pay and benefits.

In order to benefit from the proposal, they must step down by February 6th.
