The beginning of Tymuś’s life was nothing short of dramatic, and to this day, we are still dealing with the consequences of those early, life-threatening events. Our son was born weighing only 720 grams, faced three separate bouts of sepsis, and doctors told us to prepare for the worst. Against all odds, Tymuś survived, and now every day is a battle for his health. We are reaching out to you, asking for help in this incredibly difficult fight.
During the 23rd week of pregnancy, I experienced a severe hemorrhage that caused my waters to break prematurely. My tiny son began to fight for his life, even though specialists gave him only a 1% chance of survival. That day, my world collapsed. For the next two weeks, we managed to maintain the pregnancy against all odds, clinging to hope with every passing moment. Then, at 25 weeks, Tymuś was born—our little fighter, weighing only 720 grams.

His challenges began immediately. On the ninth day of life, he underwent his first surgery, during which 20 centimeters of his intestines were removed. This was only the beginning of a long and harrowing journey. In the hospital, both Tymuś and I contracted staphylococcus infections, leading to sepsis. He was connected to a ventilator for two and a half months, during which his fragile body battled multiple severe illnesses that left lasting effects. The sepsis returned two more times, each episode bringing fresh fear and uncertainty into our lives.
Tymuś was born on January 21, but it was not until February 14 that I was able to hold him in my arms for the very first time. That moment, after weeks of helpless waiting, was both joyous and heartbreaking. Joyous because he had survived, and heartbreaking because of the immense suffering he had already endured.
The nightmare we lived through left lasting consequences. Tymuś has vision problems; sadly, he cannot see with his left eye. Doctors suspect he has cerebral palsy, and he has hearing impairment in his left ear. He has already suffered a spleen infarction, which significantly lowers his immunity. Every day, I watch my son endure pain from heightened muscle tension, and my heart breaks when I hear his terrified cries.

Despite everything, we refuse to give up. We are seeking out specialists who can perform what sometimes feels like miracles. Our little warrior is not developing normally and requires daily, private rehabilitation—therapy that is both intensive and incredibly costly—to maximize his potential. We travel hundreds of kilometers to access the best doctors, driving to Warsaw, Poznań, and beyond, in hopes of giving our son the life he deserves.
Tymuś’s rehabilitation involves a carefully planned routine of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and specialized exercises designed to address his muscle tone, mobility, and overall development. Every session, every effort, represents a small victory, a step toward giving him independence and improving his quality of life. But the road is long, and progress is slow. The physical, emotional, and financial toll on our family is immense, yet we continue to push forward, fueled by love, hope, and determination.

Unfortunately, the costs of treatment are overwhelming. The specialized rehabilitation, regular consultations with top specialists, medical equipment, and travel expenses add up quickly, far beyond what our family can bear alone. Each month brings new challenges—not only in caring for Tymuś’s medical needs but also in finding the resources to sustain his ongoing therapy. We are doing everything we can, but we cannot do this without help.
Every donation, every act of support, brings us closer to giving Tymuś the chance to thrive despite the obstacles he faces. It allows us to cover the costs of rehabilitation sessions, specialized medical consultations, and the equipment that is essential for his progress. It helps us ensure that he receives the intensive care he needs to grow stronger, move more confidently, and enjoy the childhood he so deserves.
As his mother, I promised Tymuś that I would do everything in my power to fight for him, to protect him, and to give him the best possible life. That promise drives me every single day. I see in his tiny, brave eyes a determination that rivals that of adults, and it reminds me why I cannot give up. He is my son, my heart, and my inspiration. Every struggle, every tear, every sleepless night is worth it if it brings him closer to health and happiness.
Our story is a reminder of the fragility and strength of life. Tymuś’s journey from a premature infant weighing only 720 grams to a child who continues to fight for every milestone is a testament to his resilience and the love that surrounds him. It is also a testament to the power of community—people who care enough to offer help, who understand that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a life-changing difference.

We are asking for your support. Please help us continue this fight. Your generosity can provide Tymuś with the tools, therapy, and medical care that are essential for his survival and development. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings hope to a family striving to give their child a chance at life.
Tymuś may have started life under the most fragile of circumstances, but with your help, he can continue to grow, learn, and experience the joy of childhood. He is a fighter, a survivor, and a brave little soul who deserves every opportunity to flourish. Together, we can ensure that his story is not defined by illness but by courage, resilience, and the love that surrounds him.
Please, help us fulfill our promise to Tymuś. Stand with us in this battle. Each donation, each message of encouragement, and each act of kindness brings us one step closer to giving him the chance to live a life filled with hope, health, and happiness.
