LUKA Doncic has brought a new set of fans to the Los Angeles Lakers since his controversial trade.
And the allegiance of one of them was never in doubt.
Doncic, 26, stunned the basketball world when he was traded in the first week of February.
The Slovenian superstar was one of the most surprised by the move from the Dallas Mavericks.
It caused uproar among the fan base while Doncic took some of his most avid fans with him to his new team.
One of them was his mother Mirjam Poterbin, who owns beauty salons in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Mirjam has been spotted in the City of Angels showing her support for her son.
And her photos have sent NBA fans wild.
The proud mom was seen wearing Doncic’s No. 77 jersey outside the Lakers’ Crypto.com Arena.
She also posted a picture from inside the arena rocking a purple Lakers jacket.
And Mirjam also posed by a mural of Doncic and late Lakers great Kobe Bryant.
Fans loved seeing the basketball mom in her new uniform.
One said, “Beautiful. Enjoy this new chapter. We are cheering him on no matter where he is.
“Luka mom single?” another wondered.
While a third simply put, “Lakers Lady.”
Mirjam’s Instagram page is filled with content from when Doncic was on the Dallas Mavericks.
The trade to the Los Angeles Lakers last month was heavily criticized.
But Mirjam wrote on Instagram, “I just want you to know how proud I am of you as you start this new chapter in your journey.
“You’ve always shown strength, courage, and determination, and I have no doubt you’re going to do amazing things.
“Whatever challenges come your way, remember that you’ve got everything inside you to handle them.
“Stay true to yourself, trust in your abilities, and don’t be afraid to lean on those who care about you when you need support.
“I’m always here for you, cheering you on every step of the way and can’t wait to see where this journey takes you!
