Adrian’s Story: A Fight to Stand Again
Dear Friends,
Adrian is currently in the rehabilitation ward in Bydgoszcz. Each day brings new challenges, but also small victories that fill our hearts with gratitude. Recently, he regained movement in his shoulders—a milestone that we once feared might never come. He still has no grip in his hands, and his legs remain motionless. For now, his wheelchair is his constant companion.
Yet despite these difficulties, the doctors emphasize that Adrian is making tremendous progress. The difference between the day of the accident and today is beyond comparison. Sometimes, even we cannot believe how far he has already come.
But Adrian’s journey is far from over. Ahead of him lies a long road of neurosurgical consultations, further treatment, and most importantly, intensive rehabilitation. It is this rehabilitation that gives him hope of regaining independence, but it comes with enormous costs. And this is why we are reaching out—because your support has already carried us this far, and we cannot do it without you.

The Day That Changed Everything
Adrian is only 23 years old. Just a month ago, he lived the kind of life most young men his age take for granted. He woke up in the morning, left home for work or school, met friends, trained, and lived actively.
He loved sports. Football was his passion, and he once played for SMS Ślesin. The gym was his second home, and he could often be found lifting weights, running, or training. Water was his element—he swam effortlessly, as if he was born to move in it.
But it was water, the environment he loved most, that turned against him.
It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the mood was carefree, and laughter filled the air. Adrian, full of energy, made a dive into the water. A second later—silence. Then panic. Shouts. Fear. An ambulance. A crowd of bystanders frozen in shock. A hospital. Machines. Tubes. Endless days and nights in the Intensive Care Unit.
For his family, it was the worst nightmare imaginable. And then came the diagnosis: a spinal cord injury.

Life After the Accident
The words hung in the air like a sentence. A young man, once strong and athletic, suddenly unable to move his legs. His arms weak and unresponsive. His future uncertain.
At first, Adrian lay helpless in his hospital bed, connected to machines, unable to do the simplest of things on his own. Surgery, procedures, endless interventions—the reality of a life turned upside down overnight.
His family and friends refused to give up hope. They clung to every tiny sign of improvement. And slowly, miraculously, those signs began to appear.
Now, Adrian can move his shoulders again. His arms, though still weak, are responding to therapy. His hands cannot yet grasp, but the doctors believe there is potential. His legs remain motionless, but nobody dares to say it will always be that way. Rehabilitation can achieve miracles, especially for someone so young, strong-willed, and determined.
The Long Road of Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation is the key to Adrian’s recovery. Without it, his condition will remain static. With it, there is hope for progress—hope that he may one day walk again, hope that he may regain independence and live a life without constant dependence on others.
The road is long and extremely demanding. Sessions take hours every single day. Specialists push Adrian’s body to its limits, retraining muscles, stimulating nerves, rebuilding strength. It is exhausting, painful, and mentally draining. But Adrian is not giving up. He knows that every movement, every repetition, every bead of sweat brings him closer to freedom.
The head of his rehabilitation ward emphasizes how incredible his progress already is. For a young man with such a severe spinal cord injury, the improvements he has made in just a short time are remarkable. This is why rehabilitation cannot stop. This is why we must keep going, no matter the cost.

The Cost of Hope
And the cost is immense. Intensive rehabilitation in a renowned clinic comes with staggering expenses—far beyond what any family can carry alone. Every session, every therapy, every piece of specialized equipment adds up to a sum that is overwhelming.
But what is money compared to a young man’s future? Compared to giving Adrian the chance to live fully, to walk, to run, to return to the sports and activities he once loved?
Without rehabilitation, Adrian’s future is limited to a wheelchair. With rehabilitation, his future is wide open.
This is why we are asking for help. We cannot give up on him. And with your support, Adrian can continue this fight.
Who Adrian Is Beyond the Injury
It is easy to focus on the accident, the machines, the diagnosis. But Adrian is more than this injury. He is a son, a friend, a teammate, a young man full of dreams.
He has always been full of life and energy, the kind of person who lights up a room with his presence. His passion for football, his dedication to fitness, his love for swimming—all of these are parts of who he is.
He is also deeply loved. His family stands by him every step of the way. His friends visit, encourage him, remind him of the person he was and the person he still is. He is not just a patient. He is Adrian.
And Adrian deserves the chance to write the rest of his story not as a tragedy, but as a triumph.

A Call for Support
We are deeply grateful for every bit of support we have already received. Your generosity has made Adrian’s rehabilitation possible so far, and the results are already visible. His progress is proof that every donation, every kind word, every gesture of support truly matters.
But the journey is far from over. The road ahead is long, and Adrian needs continuous therapy if he is to reach his full potential. We cannot do this without you.
Please, if you can, stand with Adrian. Help him take back his future. Help him reclaim the life that was stolen from him in a single moment.
A Family’s Gratitude
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Thank you for caring, for believing, for giving Adrian a chance. Without you, none of this would be possible. With you, everything is possible.
Adrian’s story is not over. With your help, it is only just beginning.
With love and hope,
Adrian’s Family
