Days after a woman went viral for accusing him of “stealing” her home run ball during a game, the Philadelphia Phillies fan is sharing concern for her safety.

“Please don’t do anything to that lady,’’ Drew Feltwell told USA Today in an interview on Monday, Sept. 8. “Leave it alone. You know, somebody knows her and can talk to her, that’s different.”

He added, “But God, I don’t want people breaking in their house and stuff like that. The internet already messed her up pretty good.’’

Feltwell was sitting with his wife, his daughter and his 10-year-old son Lincoln when the incident occurred on Friday, Sept. 5, after Phillies star Harrison Bader hit a home run near their seats at LoanDepot Park in Miami.

The father was able to chase down the ball and then proudly deposited it into his son’s glove, but the woman — who still has not been publicly identified — wasn’t having any of it, as seen in video footage that has since gone viral.

In a clip from the altercation, the woman could be heard telling Feltwell: “That was ours!”

She added, “You took it from me. You took it from me! That was in my hands.”

Feltwell eventually gave the ball back to the woman the internet has termed “Phillies Karen,” telling NBC 10 Philadelphia that he was “just trying to set an example of how to de-escalate a situation in front of my son.”

The South Florida resident added that he was “still in disbelief that she walked down there like that.”

As the crowd booed the woman, others took note — including the Phillies. After the game, Bader made a point to meet Lincoln, and gave him a signed bat.

Still, the father of two is seemingly dubious about the still-mysterious woman’s intentions.

“I could say something like she got what she deserved, but I don’t know if she deserved that much,” he told USA Today.
