Fox News host Greg Gutfeld is back in action, trading paternity leave for his familiar spot in the armchair.
Gutfeld reflected on becoming a father at 60
After taking time off to embrace a new chapter as a father, Gutfeld returned to the airwaves on Monday night. He opened the show with a comedic monologue infused with his characteristic humor and a few heartfelt reflections on fatherhood.
Gutfeld, 60, and his wife, Elena Moussa, 42, celebrated the arrival of their daughter, Mira, in early December. The joyous news was shared by his Fox cohosts during a segment on December 10.
Reflecting on the moment his life changed forever, Gutfeld quipped, “When my wife told me she was pregnant, mine was the first diaper she had to change.” His remarks, as always, carried a playful edge with his signature critique of liberalism woven throughout the segment.
“Parenting isn’t easy, but it’s not earth-shattering either,” Greg Gutfeld reflected during his return to Fox News. Speaking candidly about his journey into fatherhood, the 60-year-old shared a key realization: “The biggest lesson I’ve learned is how much I have to unlearn. Throughout my life, I’ve mastered the art of being selfish.”
Gutfeld admitted that his self-focused approach had played a significant role in shaping his career. However, stepping into parenthood at his age brought a shift in perspective. “Becoming a parent has taught me something I might have learned earlier in life—that you have to think about someone else,” he said, acknowledging the transformative impact of fatherhood.
Gutfeld and his wife, Elena Moussa, tied the knot in 2004 after meeting in Portugal. Moussa, originally from Russia and a fashion stylist by profession, married Gutfeld less than a year after their initial meeting. Their bond has remained strong over the years, now enriched by the arrival of their daughter, Mira.
