Carson Daly Shares Daughter Goldie’s Pre-K Father’s Day Project: ‘He Works at the Today Show and Just Talks’
Carson received a memorable message from his youngest daughter for Father’s Day.
TODAY co-host Carson Daly’s daughter Goldie gave her dad a memorable gift this Father’s Day.
In honor of the holiday June 15, Carson took to Instagram to share the 5-year-old’s school project, where she described her father in her own words.
“Gonna miss these Father’s Day kid projects from pre-K!” Carson captioned the post, accompanying a photo of a blue frame featuring the typed-out message.
“My Daddy’s name is Carson, and I call him Daddy. He has grayish/greenish eyes and black hair. He is tall, taller than my Mom. I don’t know how old he is, but he is older than my mom,” Goldie began.
According to Goldie, Carson wears black sweatshirts and pants with boots on “colder days” and likes hats, noting he “has a big bunch of hats.” She wrote that her dad’s favorite colors are black, blue and gray.
“He likes to eat steak and go to the Steak House where they have steak, French fries, pasta and spaghetti,” she continued. “He really likes to go out on the motorcycle and drive around the block.”
Goldie added that she plays tag with her dad and that he occasionally picks her up from school. And of course, she had to mention his job.
“He works at the ‘Today Show’ and just talks,” she said. “He is also on ‘The Voice.’ He’s a judge and holds a microphone and talks. When Daddy is home, he sometimes puts me to bed.”
“I love my Daddy!” Goldie concluded the project.
Carson added in his caption, “Happy Father’s Day dads & friends! Hope you’re playing golf, drinking something strong & eating some beef.”
Adding several emoji, he said, “ps- I wish I was a “judge!” On the Voice!”
Over the years, “The Voice” host has shared glimpses into his life with wife Siri and their four kids: Jackson, Etta, London and Goldie.
After Goldie, whom the family nicknamed Go-Go, was born, Carson shared in a mid-coronavirus pandemic video how they named their “pot of gold.”
While quarantining during the pandemic with “a lot of time on our hands,” Carson said he was searching for baby names inspired by his “98% Irishness” when he came upon Goldie.
“We had a short list of names that we liked, but nothing was sticking its neck out,” he said at the time. “And I thought about it, you know, this is our fourth kid. She seems like the pot of gold at the end of our family rainbow.”
