‘Duck Dynasty’: Jase Robertson Shares Honest Health Update on Parents Phil & Kay

Duck Dynasty star Jase Robertson is opening up about the ongoing health battles facing his parents, Phil and Kay Robertson, offering fans a candid and emotional update.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Unashamed With the Robertson Family podcast, Jase didn’t hold back. He shared the “blunt truth,” saying that while his mother Kay’s condition is showing signs of improvement, his father Phil’s health continues to decline.

“Tell you the truth, it hasn’t been good,” Jase admitted. “I’m just giving the blunt truth. I’ll say, ‘Not good.’”

Back in December, Jase revealed that Phil had been diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease, along with a blood disorder and multiple fractured vertebrae that have left him in considerable discomfort.

“For my mom, it’s been a lot better this past week because she was really not doing good,” Jase said. “She got an infection… she’s still in the hospital, but now it’s more about rehab—physically, and trying to get her to eat.”

At one point, the family feared the worst.

“We were kinda dealing with the fact that maybe this is it,” he admitted. “That’s what it seemed like in the moment. It seemed close there. So it was difficult.”

Despite the challenges, Jase says the family is doing everything they can to make Phil and Kay comfortable.

“We’re making them comfortable and we’re doing the best we can. So I think that’s just what you do,” he said.

Jase is one of four children of Phil and Kay who appeared on the original Duck Dynasty series, which ran from 2012 to 2017 and became one of A&E’s most popular shows. Earlier this year, the network announced Duck Dynasty: The Revival, set to premiere this summer.

While Phil Robertson is not expected to appear in the reboot due to his declining health, Kay Robertson is confirmed to participate—offering fans a bittersweet glimpse into the family’s latest chapter.

Through it all, the Robertsons continue to face each challenge with honesty, faith, and resilience—sharing their journey with the fans who have supported them from the start.
