In a September 2017 interview, he shared his struggles with alcohol, revealing that he had finally decided to quit just a few years ago. He said: “Now I can enjoy a cup and quit, but in the meantime, I fill the gaps between the draining moments with alcohol and drugs.”

 

Despite the personal losses he’s faced, he has no intention of walking away from acting. “I don’t understand the concept of retirement. I just can’t imagine what I would do with my time,” he said. The veteran actor expressed his desire to continue acting until it’s no longer rewarding, emphasizing that memorizing scripts and living new experiences is what keeps his mind sharp.
