Fox News personality Kat Timpf is not one to let unsolicited opinions slide, especially when it comes to her health. The Gutfeld! co-host recently addressed speculation on social media following her double mastectomy, which she underwent just weeks after giving birth to her first child.

The 36-year-old journalist revealed last week that she had both of her breasts removed as part of her recovery process after being diagnosed with cancer. This revelation prompted a flood of online comments, including one X user who questioned her decision, saying, “Women, please be aware of your options. You do not have to amputate your breasts, especially at stage 0!!”
Known for her sharp wit, Timpf didn’t hesitate to clap back, sarcastically responding, “I did it just for fun.”

Despite the online noise, Timpf has maintained her trademark humor throughout the process. During her recovery, close friend and Fox News colleague Guy Benson visited her and met her newborn son. Benson shared an update on social media, noting Timpf’s request for no more baked goods during her recovery. In typical Timpf fashion, he complied by bringing two melons, two mangos, and two tangerines, playing into her dark sense of humor.
Timpf’s Fox News colleagues, including Benson and Jessica Tarlov, have voiced unwavering support as she balances maternity leave and her post-surgery healing. Timpf continues to demonstrate her strength, even through the challenges of recovery.
On Monday, she posted a cheeky picture on Instagram, resharing a throwback photo with a humorous caption: “As I sit at home recovering & looking a level of ugly that is only possible when showering is medium traumatizing, I am posting this to remind u… what I’m capable of.”
Timpf had previously discussed her decision to undergo surgery, mixing humor with honesty. “Honestly not much smaller than they were before I got pregnant,” she joked about her breasts, before acknowledging how tough the choice was. “Trust me, there’s no one for whom that seems more extreme than me,” she added, expressing gratitude for the expert medical advice that helped her through the breast cancer diagnosis.
In a time when joy and heartbreak collided, the diagnosis came just hours before she welcomed her son with her husband, Cameron Friscia, adding an emotional weight to an already challenging situation.
Timpf’s openness and humor continue to inspire her fans as she recovers, proving that even in the face of adversity, her resilience and wit remain unmatched.
